It is a short trail and friendly, from the
parish of the pleasures of Sailors to the spine, and along the coast.
There is an alternative to the drop as Paúl Sea level, however it is
recommended only for groups and characterized by their harmony and good
physical condition required for this fall.

Pleasures of the parish and before starting the descent, take the time
to visit Pedagógica Quinta, where you can observe the animals in
existence, enjoy, in the Tea Room, the infusions made with herbs and
medicinal use and to acquire the traditional sweets made with the
fruits of biological origin.
The drop is made
by the escarpment between the Assomadouro berth in the pleasures and
Paul, in between "poios","terrasses" agricultural, supported by their walls of
stone, formerly cultivated with cereals, but today, with the decline of
agriculture, left abandoned.
Assomadouro is the name given to the place where you something interesting, is synonymous with viewpoint. Indeed, the view you get here is superb as the beautiful views offered
either to the left, the small town of Jardim do Mar, or the right, the
Paul of the Sea, is a real fascination.
Called "path of county" is an example of difficult
access often traveled with heavy loads on the back, but only
alternative to the sea, too expensive for many and impossible when the
sea is angry.
This trail, snakes on a hillside with the zigzag
floor calcetado in small steps, is an authentic heritage and a
testament to the ancestors and isolation of populations of ingenious
and arduous paths, built by the people, to overcome this isolation.
The drops of water and endemic flora exclusive these altitudes, as the rock Massaroco (Echium nervosum) and Figueira of hell (Euphorbia piscatoria) contribute to the trail becomes a real discovery.
Paul reached the Sea do not hesitate to explore this small town, planted by the sea, and admire the great cliffs that embrace.Once an important fishing center, due to the
abundance of fish, made with that in 1912, appeared an industry of
canned tuna for purposes of export. You can still see traces of the chimney of the factory and the existing salt, and the ingenuity of cane sugar.

It is an easy stroll approximatly 4 hours and about 11 km/6,8 milles ,where there are beautifull views over the cost line and sea, from Prazeres to Lombada dos Marinheiros. There is an alternative down hill to Paúl do Mar wich reserves and requires a bit more atention by the walkers ,until this fishing village ,therefore is advisable only for groups of serious walker and Ramblers.
