1-East tour-Santana- Santana-East tour- An excelent opportunity to see and enjoy the views of these marvelous mountains and sea sore beauty. Description: Departure from Funchal to Camacha(wickerwork), Pico do Arieiro(the 3rd highest mountain in Madeira), Ribeiro Frio (Walk approx. 40 minutes), Santana (Typical houses),(Lunch stop at Faial in front of the Famous Eagle Rock with 590m high,1900ft).On the afternoon, Portela vewing point at 670m/2200ft, Machico city(the first landed caravel with the first Portuguese explorers,João Gonçalves Zarco ,Bartolomeu Perestrelo(Captain of Porto Santo)and Tristão Vaz Teixeira this last as Captain of the Northern boundery of the Island , with an imaginary line devision from "Ponta do Tristão" on the west until "Ponta da Oliveira" on the East near by and between Sta Cruz and Machico) , arrival to Funchal after 5:00p.m. Price:20€ Lunch:10€
Description: The footpath is with delighting up and downs, with a wonderful scenery over about the whole central massive of the island, involving a bit of an effort of everyone that likes walking, however it is rather important that you know that you haven’t got any previous injuries related to heart failure, knees, feet and hips or evident spine dorsal traumas. This walk provides a true and complete experience that is mostly enjoying as it‘s qualified one of the best TOP TEN Walks in the world!!! No arguments against facts! However ,people that can't walk up hill strainuously may have now the best chance to do it without problems becouse you may go arround the "PICO DO GATO"that you don't make more than 65 meters until the other side ring of the path through the tunnels,and (as long you don't have heart problems or any other serious health troubles due to the altitude you shouldn't join this situations or risc your life for some moment in life);which is 40 to 60% off the difficulty taken down from this walk.Anyway this is considered the safiest walk in Madeira.Price:25€ Picnic:10€
