1-a)East tour to SANTANA: An excelent opportunity to see and enjoy the
views of these marvelous mountains and sea sore beauty. Description:
Departure from Funchal to Camacha(wickerwork), Pico do Arieiro(the 3rd
highest mountain in Madeira), Ribeiro Frio (Walk approx. 40 minutes),
Santana (Typical houses),(Lunch stop at Faial in front of the Famous
Eagle Rock with 590m high,1900ft).On the afternoon, Portela vewing
point at 670m/2200ft, Machico city(the first landed caravel with the
first Portuguese explorers,João Gonçalves Zarco ,Bartolomeu
Perestrelo(Captain of Porto Santo)and Tristão Vaz Teixeira this last as
Captain of the Northern boundery of the Island , with an imaginary line
devision from "Ponta do Tristão" on the west until "Ponta da Oliveira"
on the East near by and between Sta Cruz and Machico) , arrival to
Funchal after 5:00p.m.. 2-b) Porto Moniz,West tour - This is an opportunity to get to know a bit better about Madeira and Madeiran people's aims while growing this work in road and levada constructions which caracterizes us and enphasises the right information and opinion about us ! RIBEIRO FRIO-PORTELA WALK description: This walk has an opportunity to get to know the true Madeira mist or fog forest, bay-trees, laurel groves and its indigenous flora and the beautifull views from 900m /2700Ft above the sea level overlooking the caracterized villages from Faial and Porto da Cruz , separate neighbours by the enormous Eagle Rock Mountain and Cliff where the abounding terrasses with vinyards and vegetable garden are still a true answer for these people's needs and survival!!!Wonderfull scenery from Porto da Cruz and Faial at Levada Do Furado near by Portela. 3-Group walk: 6,5h walk- Lombo do Mouro pináculo ,caramujo,levada do Norte, -Description: Diversity is characterizing this walk. In my point of view is one of the most truly enchanting places in the walk that we completely forget we are in such a small island, eventually you feel as you are in another place in time away even from here, not to say how many years light away from where you come from!? Peaceful, enchanting and adventuring without danger. The richness of the landscapes, different sceneries, the picks and forest, plants tunnels, footpath, levada path, up and down! Complete, mountain picks, forest and tunnels which is an epic experience to anyone who likes to walk. Panoramic walk is before the Castelejo levada, and after it is a botanical garden in the wild, on these first 2 hours! Views from the valley of São Vicente. We have sticks, torches and helmets just in case some would like to use to avoid any bump inside the tunnels. PRICE: ACCORDINGLY WITH THE SEASON AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE GROUP!
